Milena Dragicevic

Milena Dragicevic was born in Former Yugoslavia in 1965. She is a Canadian Serbian living and working in the UK.

Dragicevic received her BFA from York University, Toronto, CA, and her MA from Royal College of Art, London, UK.

She works predominately with painting and has recently begun making digital prints and writing as performance.

Dragicevic has exhibited her work widely, including exhibitions at GAM Milano, Milan, IT; Leeds Art Gallery, Leeds, UK (2015); Sharjah Art Foundation, Sharjah, UAE (2014); Holburne Museum, Bath, UK; Dispari & Dispari Project, Reggio Emilia, IT (2013); British Art Show 7, Hayward Gallery, London, UK (2011); Pump House Gallery, London, UK (2008); De Hallen, Haarlem, NL (2007); ICA, London, UK (2005), among others.

Dragicevic’s work has been reviewed in Artforum, frieze magazine, Art in America, Art Review, Frog Magazine, The Guardian, The Independent and Time Out. Her work is included in 100 Painters of Tomorrow, Thames and Hudson (2014), Vitamin P2: New Perspectives in Painting, Phaidon Press (2011), among other publications. She recently finished a residency with CCA Andratx, Illes Balears, ES, along with the Sammlung Lenikus Residency, Vienna, AT, and was a previous recipient of the Stanley Picker Fellowship at Kingston University, Kingston, UK.

Her work is included in both public and private collections in Europe and North America. Milena Dragicevic is represented by Galerie Martin Janda, Vienna.
